Bromley College wanted a better system for tracking student grades, monitoring progress and setting pastoral targets. The College had clear ideas about what was required. It wanted the solution to:
be online so that learners and lecturers could access it from anywhere;
have clear graphical feedback so that it would be easy to see at glance how well learners are progressing towards their individual goals and motivate them to reach their potential;
bring together grades and attendance records into one place;
support the learner-lecturer interface by providing practical tools, such as action plans and feedback sections and general pastoral monitoring;
have a section for ‘cause for concern‘ notes;
have good analysis tools so that lecturers could identify issues early and act on them immediately; and
conform to RARPA principals (recognising and recording of progress and achievement).
