e-factor 2012: It’s All About the Learner – “The best one yet!”

Thank you to all the delegates, presenters, sponsors, exhibitors and learners that helped make e-factor 2012 such a great day – JISC RSC London

“It is the first time I have managed to attend this event but I hope it wont be the last – it was very enjoyable and worthwhile.” – a delegate

“I enjoyed it very much and certainly learned a great deal from the day. Some great work on show!” – a college principal

Thank you for having us ALL ….in my opinion it was the best one yet!!!” – a showcase presenter

We like to think our events contribute to igniting innovation and sparking new practice, but two fire alarms and evacuations seemed a bit of an over-reaction! However, once the London Fire Brigade had attended and was assured that Senate House could withstand the heat of technology-enhanced learning, we enjoyed an amazing day of provider showcases and exhibitions. A day focused on the learner and featuring inspiring contributions from some of them.

A full report with presentations and other resources will be available soon on our Moodle site. In the meantime, a taste of e-Factor 2012 from Peter Mayhew-Smith, Principal of Kingston College in this personal reflection on the day:
